RE 3 Re-make Gets Release Date
Resident Evil 3 Remake Gets a Release Date
It may have seemed like forever since the Resident Evil 2 Remake landed, and following its success, players have eagerly anticipated a Resident Evil 3 Remake to follow. Fortunately, the PlayStation State of Play event recently revealed that a Resident Evil 3 Remake was, in fact, coming sooner than we might have thought.
When is the Resident Evil 3 Remake release coming?
Along with the news of a Resident Evil 3 Remake confirmation, the State of Play Livestream also gave us a first look at the cinematic trailer for the upcoming release. We'll only have to wait until April 3rd next year to get our hands on the zombie-filled horror remake from the PS1 original in 1999.
The trailer from Resident Evil developer Capcom can be seen at the YouTube link below in its entirety.
As a reminder for fans, and for those new to the third Resident Evil installment, this is the title that we got to see more of the horrific Nemesis character than ever before.
The game will follow the 20-year-old storyline of Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira trying desperately to survive the events of Raccoon City.
Resident Evil 3 Remake, it's Only the Start
In addition to Resi 3, Capcom has also confirmed that the multiplayer spin-off we grew to know as Project: Resistance is also coming. This time though, the game will be called Resident Evil: Resistance, which will be included as a bonus for those purchasing the Resident Evil 3 Remake.
Fans of the series believed the full reveal would come as part of the recent Game Awards, that didn't happen, so PlayStation blew us out of the water with a State of Play Livestream reveal instead.
One thing is for sure, playing the third Resident Evil as a nineties kid was pretty scary, and with a complete graphical makeover, it's needless to say that this one will be even more horrific.
