March 2019

March 8 - Captain Marvel

The first big “nerd” movie of the quarter drops on March 8 in Captain Marvel. Brie Larson joins the MCU as the titular character who seems to be the missing piece in finally vanquishing Thanos.

Avengers Endgame

April 26 is a date many of us have had circled on our calendars for quite some time. We’ll finally find out what happens to all of our favorite Avengers characters and Thanos himself. Quite frankly, this movie can’t come fast enough.

May 31 - Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Ma, Rocketman

The King of All Monsters returns on May 31! Godzilla is back along with kaiju pals Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah - and ready to blow up the big screen! May 31 is another date we’ve had circled on our calendars since the first trailer dropped, and Godzilla caps off a stellar May 2019 movie slate.

June 7 - The Secret Life of Pets 2, X-Men: Dark Phoenix
June 14 - Men in Black: International, Shaft
June 21 - Child’s Play, Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4

A movie some have argued (not us) shouldn’t have been made, Toy Story 4 nonetheless drops on the summer solstice, June 21. We’ll finally get to discover the secret of Forky, the oddball character from the first Toy Story 4 teaser trailer and just what the role of the Keegan Michael Key/Jordan Peele-voiced carnival prizes Ducky and Bunny are.

July 19 - The Lion King

The coup-de-grace of the three Disney remakes releasing in 2019, The (CGI) Lion King is sure to be as visually impressive in 2019 as its animated counterpart was in 1994. Donald Glover, Beyonce, and James Earl Jones lead a stellar cast of voice actors. The film releases July 19.
